Primary healthcare professionals are on the front line of osteoporosis care. Despite advances in early diagnosis and effective treatment, osteoporosis remains underdiagnosed and undertreated.
Performance Improvement Strategies in Osteoporosis is a 3-stage, certified CME initiative. Performance improvement CME was developed in 2005 by two American Medical Association-convened national task forces. It was introduced as a nationally standardized CME format to help healthcare professionals evaluate and improve their clinical processes and quality of care.
